Prerequisites and/or Requirements

 Proof of prerequisites must be presented at time of registration for Public Safety courses.

  • All Public Safety programs require a High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Download program information packets and complete required paperwork.  See specific programs for more details.
  • A CASAS reading/math test may be required for some courses.
  • A valid North Carolina drivers license is a requirement for most classes.
  • Programs have minimum age requirements depending on the course and certification.
